Yahoo! Japan and Family-mart Gives 50K Free Coffee For Search

Japan’s Web Behemoth Yahoo! Japan and one of three major convenience chain-store Family Mart jointly starts free coffee campaign [J] today.


Anyone searching “Famima Coffee” (Famima is an official abbreviation of Family-mart in Japanese) on Yahoo! Japan’s iOS or Android app would get a free coupon of Family-mart coffee, size S which usually costs 100 yen.

The campaign lasts by March 7th, or the first 500,000 cups. “Famima Donatsu(=donuts)” search also gives you a chance to win free donuts for 5,000 people per day.

Social Game “Majimon” Has Campaign With Energy Drinks

NHN Japan [J] is doing a tie-up campaign for their smartphone social RPG “Majimon” involving Suntory Beverage and Food Limited’s [J] “Vitamin Water Speed In” as well as “Energy Gear Water.”  The time period is from May 29th until June 18th.

In this campaign, when users input the 16 digit ID (serial number) on targeted products with a campaign seal into a special web page, they can get original monsters and recovery items in the game.  The special page can be accessed from within the game, and with each ID entered, you can get the recovery item “Vitamin drink” and a lottery ticket.  You can play the lottery one time with four tickets, and 10,000 players will receive the original monster “Biworune.”

Their latest campaign offers the limited Claudia doll for everyone who purchases Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional with MSDN, which price is 173,250 yen (US$2200).

The doll is planned to be 15-20 centimeters(6-8 inches) heights, with serial number.

The campaign will end on June 29th. It is only valid for purchase inside Japan.
