Ryo Shimizu, CEO of Ubiquitous Entertainment Inc. (also active as a blogger under the handle name “shi3z”), introduced iPong, his researcher buddy Mr. Kondo‘s toy application for the iPhone/iPod Touch.
Not much by way of explanation is provided, but multiple iPod Touches seem to be connected wirelessly and serve up a virtual game of Pong. Mr. Shimizu wrote that Mr. Kondo made it in about an hour.
Ubiquitous Entertainment Inc. is a company making mobile CMS and middleware.
[Update 2011-07-09] This iPong post generated a good buzz, however, all the Youtube movie, the iPhone application and its info on the company website seemed to be taken down by Ubiquitous Entertainment months later. Probably trademark infringement?

Thanks. They took down all related things few months later. I added that info.
No offense to the manufacturer. But I don’t think I would use this ipong.
I never thought there can be iPong. But does this have the same features as the real iPhone?
As I read the reviews for iPong, the Japanese version of iPhone. It’s really not that bad as everyone thinks because it came from Asia. I has exactly the same as that of the iPhone features. Although I didn’t have a chance to use it but my friend personally tried it and heard positive feedbacks from her.
Touch screen devices are popular now and it’s salable in the market. These gadgets will eventually spread all over of Asia. iPhone from Japan is simply one of the best.
No other
mobile phone handset can beat the Apple’s Iphone in terms of Quality,
Usability, Features, and Style. But if ipongs do then that would be the end of iphone.
When I was in Japan I was about to buy an iPhone but my friend told me to try iPong Japan’s version. I’m glad I listened to her.
my friend bought iPong in Japan and guess what, it has almost the same features as the iPhone4.
I’m a tennis player and I love to have iPong in my iPhone. iPong is the affordable, portable table tennis practice buddy that plays with you tirelessly.
