However, it turned out that they had thought that they would be able to take &#8220;.com&#8221; domain AFTER their announcement.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/hatomimi-com-logo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/hatomimi-com-logo.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"hatomimi-com-logo\" width=\"388\" height=\"263\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6858\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nOf course they could not. All possible domains both in Roman alphabets and Japanese (international domain name) were quickly occupied. The one in Japanese (<a href=\"http:\/\/xn--fdkn3ca.com\/\">&#8220;\u30cf\u30c8\u30df\u30df.com&#8221;<\/a>, you may see the Roman alphabet converted domain from Japanese on some browsers) now run by an anonymous person and s\/he makes fun of the government by asking visitors opinions to criticize Hatoyama government&#8217;s immaturity operations on the Internet.<br \/>\nNow they remember (or pointed out by lots of people) that the policy they have been having that all national websites must use subdomains of &#8220;go.jp&#8221; (governmental, Japan) to prevent misleading phishing sites and future domain squatting even after the domain usage stops. They say that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.47news.jp\/CN\/200912\/CN2009122901000253.html\">they will open &#8220;Hatomimi.go.jp&#8221; at the middle of this month January<\/a> [J].<\/p>\n<h3>Prime minister&#8217;s Twitter<\/h3>\n<p>Another move by the government is <a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/01\/real-pm-hatoyama-finally-speaks-on-twitter\/\">a new twitter account by the Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama<\/a>. After its January 1st launch, there have been <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/hatoyamayukio\">five tweets<\/a> so far. All of the five tweets are announcement. No interaction with other twitter accounts.<br \/>\nOn his second tweet, he answered to the question &#8220;is this really tweeted by you?&#8221;. He said that <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/hatoyamayukio\/status\/7284194013\">basically he writes messages with his staff, then e-mails them to his secretary and the secretary posts to Twitter<\/a>.<br \/>\nAlthough many internet users expressed their disappointment to it, I personally don&#8217;t think that prime minister himself\/herself should tweet on their mobile gears.
