Mobiles) on the Plane&#8221;.<br \/>\nThe main purpose of JIMs guys&#8217; 3-day visit is to tour tech start-up companies in the region to give entrepreneurs a series of presentations on what they&#8217;ve developed and Japanese mobile business trends, and to establish relationships for the possible future collaboration over the Pacific.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5866\" title=\"Mountain View Station\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/MountainView_scene.jpg\" alt=\"Mountain View Station\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><br \/>\nHere is a  brief of the tour:<br \/>\nDate:\u00a0\u00a0 October 26(Mon) thru October 28(Wed), 2009, PT.<br \/>\nPlaces to visit: Almost a dozen of tech start-ups in Sunny Vale, San Mateo, Mountain View, Palo Alto and San Francisco.\u00a0\u00a0 They will bustle around from a lodging in San Jose.<br \/>\nParticipants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ryo Umezawa (co-organizer of the tour)<br \/>\nMr. Umezawa serves as the business development unit director for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trafficgate.net\/\">Traffic Gate[J]<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/corp.rakuten.co.jp\/en\/ir\/\">Rakuten<\/a> subsidiary in affiliate marketing and search advertising, as well as the director for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.j-seed.com\/\">J-seed Ventures<\/a>, a Tokyo-based independent incubator for tech start-ups.\u00a0 In the past, he used to host <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobilemonday.jp\/\">the Tokyo edition<\/a> of global mobile networking event <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobilemonday.net\/\">Mobile Monday<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 He has a great network with lots of mobile and tech start-up entrepreneurs in Tokyo, and has been working hard on hooking them up with the others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Sadayuki Matsumoto (co-organizer of the tour)<br \/>\nMr. Matsumoto co-founded a Tokyo-based mobile start-up company called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xtone.co.jp\/\">Xtone[J]<\/a> (pronounced e-k-s tone) and serves as the managing director. \u00a0 He&#8217;s been involved in developing a number of web and mobile application services such as iPhone virtual girlfriend app <a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/04\/can-moe-catgirl-make-our-lives-so-cheerful\/\">Amamiya MoMo<\/a> and a new feature that monetizes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nicovideo.jp\/\">the country&#8217;s best-known video sharing service[J]<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Junji Oshita<br \/>\nMr. Oshita is the CEO of <a href=\"http:\/\/froute.jp\/\">FRoute[J]<\/a> (pronounced ef-route), the provider of the country&#8217;s 3rd ranked search engine service for cellphone users in the number of usage volume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Yusuke Tanaka<br \/>\nMr. Tanaka founded mobile SEO (search engine optimization) and marketing company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fractalist.jp\">Fractalist[J]<\/a> (listed at Centrex, the growth company market section at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nse.or.jp\/e\/\">Nagoya Stock Exchange<\/a>) in 2000, and serves as the managing director.\u00a0\u00a0 Prior to that, he co-founded a company that had released a number of mobile game apps for Japanese cellphone handsets, and he succeeded to sell the company to <a href=\"http:\/\/ir.yahoo.co.jp\/en\/\">Yahoo Japan<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It seems their schedule is getting crammed up with many appointments, but if you&#8217;re interested in meeting these unique guys and having an opportunity to talk with them for exchanging opinions, kindly contact Mr. Umezawa (e-mail: ryo [at] j-seed.com) for more details.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Inspired by Geeks On A Plane that was organized by Founder Fund co-founder Dave McClure and took 50 Silicon Valley tech geeks to Japan, Korea and Mainland China to meet up with Asian friends last June, a group of Tokyo-based mobile service entrepreneurs is now planning to visit San Francisco Bay Area at the end&hellip;
