(Probably this is what we have to be proud of, because that means we keep covering the cutting-edge.)<br \/>\nThat&#8217;s why we focus only on what we&#8217;ve never featured on Asiajin but have been exhibited at Wireless Japan 2009.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"NTT DoCoMos Logo\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/docomo_logo.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"155\" height=\"40\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4870\" title=\"Applix's Logo\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/applix_logo.gif\" alt=\"Applix's Logo\" width=\"120\" height=\"60\" \/><br \/>\nMobile giant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nttdocomo.co.jp\/english\/\">NTT DoCoMo<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aplixcorp.com\/en\/\">Applix<\/a>, a Tokyo-based Java mobile platform developer having two-dozen-year history, announced they would join forces to develop AR(Augmented Reality) products.   Following Tonchi-Dot&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tonchidot.com\/product-info.html\">Sekai Camera[E\/J]<\/a> (backed up by <a href=\"http:\/\/mb.softbank.jp\/en\/\">Softbank Mobile<\/a>) and <a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/2009\/06\/25\/another-sekai-camera-kddis-lab-unveils-ar-cellphone-app\/\">KDDI&#8217;s AR cellphone<\/a>, NTT DoCoMo joined the race in developing AR-based products, which means all three Japanese mobile carriers believe AR may be one of key factors for making the next-generation mobile business more successful.<br \/>\n<object width=\"490\" height=\"298\" data=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/JxS30vbYx9k&#038;hl=ja&#038;fs=1&#038;\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/JxS30vbYx9k&#038;hl=ja&#038;fs=1&#038;\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><\/object><br \/>\nThe video above was taken and published on YouTube by freelance writer <a href=\"http:\/\/keitai-robanomimi.blogspot.com\/\">Tamotsu Hashimoto<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe team of NTT DoCoMo and Applix developed a new Android app allowing you to retrieve information associated with what you&#8217;re seeing through a camera built-in your cellphone, and its experimental prototype was exhibited.   The app is also downloadable for signed up users at <a href=\"http:\/\/trial.nttdocomo.co.jp\/\">the trial service category[J]<\/a> of NTT DoCoMo&#8217;s corporate website.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Willcoms Logo\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/willcom.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"13\" \/><br \/>\nMeanwhile, Japan&#8217;s only PHS mobile operator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.willcom-inc.com\/en\/\">Willcom<\/a> developed a high-speed data transmission standard called <a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/2009\/04\/22\/another-way-to-have-mobile-broadband-its-neither-wimax-nor-hsdpa\/\">XGP<\/a>, and it&#8217;s now on test drive at Tokyo&#8217;s CBD.   However, with such a brand new technology, most of us have no idea on how our life will be changed in the future.   Willcom developed a variety of concept-based product mockups in association with major Japanese mobile device manufacturers, and those have been introduced on the company&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.willcom-inc.com\/core\/core_envision\/\">special website[J]<\/a> for the last several months.
