Japan Research <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kakihara.org\/wp\/bio-eng\">Masao Kakihara<\/a> gave a general view of service monetization strategy.<br \/>\n2. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pixiv.net\/\">Pixiv<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/tag\/pixiv\/\">Asiajin articles<\/a>)<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/pixiv-log.jpg\" alt=\"pixiv-log\" title=\"pixiv-log\" width=\"160\" height=\"65\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1362\" \/><br \/>\nTakanori Katagiri told Pixiv and its monetizing experiences.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pixiv.net\/\">Pixiv<\/a> is now getting a million users, 0.7 bilion page views\/month and 15,000 new illustrations per day. 140 servers supports it.<br \/>\nCurrently not so profitable (yet). They combine banner ads, contents match(Overture), Amazon affiliate, membership fee (525yen\/month).<br \/>\nHe also talked how to increase affiliate income by pushing well-sold items heavily.<br \/>\n3. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unoh.net\/en_index.html\">Unoh<\/a><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/unohlogo.gif\" alt=\"unohlogo\" title=\"unohlogo\" width=\"64\" height=\"20\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4270\" \/><br \/>\nUnoh is a 15 people company which is running <a href=\"http:\/\/photozou.jp\/\">Photozou<\/a>(photo sharing), <a href=\"http:\/\/neoad.jp\/\">NeoAd<\/a>(mobile ad), <a href=\"http:\/\/mt9.jp\/\">Machi-Tsuku<\/a> (mobile game). CEO <a href=\"http:\/\/suadd.com\/blog\/\">Shintaro Yamada<\/a>&#8216;s talk was about their new mobile geo-location game <a href=\"http:\/\/mt9.jp\/\">Machi-Tsuku<\/a> monetization. How fixed-rate billing and item-sales systems make difference on sales and user behaviour.<br \/>\nHe pointed out how avatar\/item charging services (like Gree) are designed carefully not to exchange money and virtual points directly, which is often done in social game sites in west, which seem less successful on profit-wise.<br \/>\n4. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kayac.com\/\">Kayac<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/tag\/kayac\/\">Asiajin articles<\/a>)<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/kayac-logo.gif\" alt=\"kayac-logo\" title=\"kayac-logo\" width=\"302\" height=\"61\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1818\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kayac.com\/member\/tamada\">Yui Tamada<\/a>, director, Kayac said &#8220;No one can predict what service takes off.
