NHK made a TV drama series on Sakamoto in 2010 with featuring a popular singer\/actor Masaharu Fukuyama.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/ryoma-sakamoto-meiji-revolution.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/ryoma-sakamoto-meiji-revolution.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"ryoma-sakamoto-meiji-revolution\" width=\"333\" height=\"301\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-16265\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kochi-bunkazaidan.or.jp\/~ryoma\/english1.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sakamoto Ryoma, born in Kochi in 1835, made a great contribution to Japan&#8217;s rapid modernization which marked the end of 700 years of feudal government. The modernized nation he pictured had laws, a parliamentary system and a diplomatic office.<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That banned Sakamoto&#8217;s icon photo is obviously a one in Japanese kimono which disguised the historical figure Sakamoto&#8217;s popular photo, and <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.shufunotomo.co.jp\/ryoma\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his blog<\/a> [J] shows he is trying to impersonate the great Sakamoto.
