{"id":16134,"date":"2011-12-05T20:51:25","date_gmt":"2011-12-05T11:51:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/?p=16134"},"modified":"2011-12-05T20:51:25","modified_gmt":"2011-12-05T11:51:25","slug":"3-minutes-video-tutorial-site-for-programming-learners-dotinstall-launches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/3-minutes-video-tutorial-site-for-programming-learners-dotinstall-launches\/","title":{"rendered":"3-Minutes Video Tutorial Site For Programming Learners &quot;Dotinstall&quot; Launches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two popular Japanese bloggers, <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/taguchi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@taguchi<\/a>[J] and <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/fkoji\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@fkoji<\/a>[J], launched new video tutorial site called <a href=\"http:\/\/dotinstall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dotinstall<\/a>[J], which is aimed at ultra-beginner of programming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/dotinstall-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/dotinstall-01-600x447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"447\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-16192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The site currently provides about 300 video tutorials, ranging from HTML basics to Creating Concentration game using Javascript, all of which last just about 3 minutes long.&#160; All the videos are recorded in Japanese (by <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/taguchi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@taguchi<\/a>[J]), so it is helpful not only for Japanese who want to study programming but also for non-Japanese programmers who want to study Japanese language as well.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike <a href=\"http:\/\/showmedo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ShowMeDo<\/a>, another video tutorial site for programming learners, dotinstall is focused on delivering video tutorials for beginners only.&#160; As myself being a learner of programming as a hobby, <a href=\"http:\/\/dotinstall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dotinstall<\/a>[J] seems to be very helpful because I can use my spare time, sometime just a few minutes, to watch a video or two.<\/p>\n<p>Current line-ups of videos are HTML\/CSS\/JavaScript\/PHP\/MySQL\/jQuery\/Twitter Bootstrap, more in variety and number are expected to come.
