{"id":12117,"date":"2011-01-11T20:14:04","date_gmt":"2011-01-11T11:14:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/?p=12117"},"modified":"2011-01-11T20:14:04","modified_gmt":"2011-01-11T11:14:04","slug":"gree-opens-subsidiary-in-the-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/2011\/01\/gree-opens-subsidiary-in-the-us\/","title":{"rendered":"GREE Opens Subsidiary In The US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/gree-logo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1376\" title=\"gree-logo\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/gree-logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"234\" height=\"73\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/tag\/gree\/\">GREE<\/a> CEO Yoshikazu Tanaka announced it in <a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/08\/japanese-mobile-gaming-startup-gree-to-open-us-and-china-offices-within-a-year\/\">June last year<\/a>, and now the Japanese mobile social gaming giant did make the second step on the road to internationalization (following the <a href=\"http:\/\/asiajin.com\/blog\/2010\/11\/02\/gree-to-take-several-percent-stake-in-singapores-smsim-based-social-network-mig33\/\">mig33 investment<\/a> in Singapore): it just <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gree.co.jp\/news\/press\/2011\/0111.html\">announced<\/a> the establishment of GREE International, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary in California.<br \/>\nThe office will be led by the company&#8217;s CFO Naoki Aoyagi who joined GREE in 2006 and is fluent in English (Aoyagi is still listed as the CFO on GREE&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gree.co.jp\/corporate\/officer\/\">website<\/a>).<br \/>\nGREE says the main goal is to accelerate their internationalization efforts and that they want to start off with a team of 10 people.
