Just take these stats: it&#8217;s estimated that currently around 10 million Japanese are registered and that <a href=\"http:\/\/search.japantimes.co.jp\/cgi-bin\/nn20100630f1.html\">16.3% of all web users<\/a> in this country tweet (considerably more than the 9.8% in the US). <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2010\/02\/24\/twitter-languages\/\">14% of all tweets<\/a> out there are in Japanese, more than Portuguese (9%) or Spanish (4%).<br \/>\nBut what Twitter clients are the Japanese using? According to news site <a href=\"http:\/\/markezine.jp\/article\/detail\/11582\">MarkeZine<\/a>, the web version is top of the list, followed by the official mobile client. But in Japan, Twitter.com is not popular a destination as it is elsewhere (see below for another list).<br \/>\nHere&#8217;s are the top 20 of Twitter clients used in Japan (quite a lot are homegrown):<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/twitter_clients_japan.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10148\" src=\"http:\/\/img.asiajin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/twitter_clients_japan.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"325\" height=\"394\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nTechCrunch just recently <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2010\/09\/02\/twitter-android\/\">blogged<\/a> a top 10 of clients &#8220;worldwide&#8221;, which showed the same top 2.
