Life-size Gundam Statue which had over 4 million visitors only in 52 days in 2009 Summer at Odaiba, Tokyo waterfront is announced [J] to come back 2012 Spring.

Darwinfish205 releases a movie report that the legs are being built in front of the new location DiverCity Tokyo, which will open in Spring. So the Tokyo Gundam is going to move to east about 400 meters(440 yard) in this two year, through Shizuoka last Summer.

A year ago, we reviewed Yahoo! Japan's 16 free iPhone applications which icons will show a (especially in Japan and Asian countries) popular Anime character Doraemon on your home screen.

A Japanese blog iPhone Games [J] lists more of similar iPhone apps set, like Gundam, which is offered also by Yahoo! Japan,

Yahoo! Japan published Evangelion [J] ones, too.

A series of gamble e-comics Kaiji [J] has issued about 100 episodes on iPhone, and icons can make 6 character faces now.

On December 2nd, Japan's first (maybe the world first? do you know?) cellphone social game application magazine "Appli Style" has been released in Japan.

The magazine, costs 680 yen (US$8), published by a publisher Eastpress, are sold at bookstores and convenience stores around the nation. (-> ">purchase from Amazon Japan)

On top of the cover of the initial issue, there are Gree, Mobage Town and Mixi logos.

There are popular mobile social game titles taken up.

• Gundam Royal, Mobage's new game themes Gundam
• Tsuri Star (Gree's own breadwinner fishing game)
• Monster Planet (Gree's Pokemon)
• Sanshine Bokujou(Ranch) (Mixi's No.1 game by Rekoo Japan, a subsidiary of Rekoo, China) Asiajin
• Monhan Nikki Mobile Airu Mura (Monster Hunter Diary Mobile Airu Village, Mobage Town's game by Capcom)
• 100 Man Nin no Nobunaga no Yabou (Nobunaga's Ambition For Million People, social game version of the popular feudal lord strategy game by Koei)
• Evangelion Meguriau Kizuna (anime-based social game on Gree by Entersphere)

I guess that most of regular users of those mobile simple games do not search or share the game info on PC web, and it is unlikely that people use multiple tab browser on mobile (latest feature phones are multi-task supported though). All mobile social gaming platform provide users communities to share the information to play those game better, I do not think that majority of the users discuss on how to solve the game there.

Those players (who should also be players paying couple of ten thousands yen every month on them) may need this kind of handy guidebook besides their ketai.

Japanese character merchandising company Bandai announced it would open Gundam Cafe[J] in Akihabara next weekend, in commemoration with the animation series' 30th anniversary.  The cafe is located just a minute away from JR Akihabara station and under elevated railroads.

The cafe serves Jaburo Coffee which is connected to a story of the series about a fictional military base in Jaburo, Brazil, and Gun-Pla-Yaki or a gundam-shape pancake.

This will be a new must-visit spot for foreign tourists as well.

Club T, one of the biggest online T-shirts seller (like threadless) in Japan, suggests 7 meters high T-shirt which fits the Odaiba real-sized Gundam statue.

The 7m x 4.7m T-shirt, which is designed to the real size Gundam, will be tailored and shipped after one month, though it fails to meet the end date of Gundam exibition, start with 300,000 yen (3,080 USD) as the lowest bid price.

As we reported before, photo right with the Odaiba Gundam was sold by 26,000 USD recently. The buyer Tatsuhiro Minobe's video report costed 26,000 USD from Gundam's shoulder (actually he could not get on the shoulder but the shoulder level) can be watched here.

There are definitely people who are glad to pay a lot for anything Gundam related. Well, is this T-shirt really related? There are no bidder appeared yet and the auction will end in 7 days on August 18th.
