Japan’s Prime Minister Tweets His Farewell

9 hours later of his expressing intention to resign Japan’s prime minister job, the first tweeting prime minister, who boasts the most popular Japanese Twitter user, posted his first tweet today.

Today, I made a statement to resign as prime minister. It is to take back clean Democratic Party of Japan to listen to the straight voices of the people. From now, leaving the prime minister’s position, I would like to keep tweeting as one human being. I look forward to your continued support.
